Abigail wiped her brow, as she stood over the pot that was boiling in the hearth. She had managed to escape the town, and now she needed to stay hidden. Right now she was cooking inside an Inn that was a few towns over.
She poured the stew she had brewed into a few bowls, added the bread the main cook had made then sent it out with the maid that was delivering it.
"Well, I'll say we never had so much business till you came along little lady" the tavern owner said as he bustled in; "Your stew is amazing, and it seems everyone wants two bowls. Even those who hate parting with their money."
"Thank you," Abigail said as she handed him a bowl of the stew; "I was the cook for my father all the time before he died."
"That is a shame, you know if you want a permanent job here. I will be glad to hire you on!" the tavern keeper said.
"Thanks but no, I just need to make enough to get a carriage to get away from here as fast as I need to" Abigail said with a kind smile; "I thank you for the offer and will keep it in mind."
"I've been meaning to ask, where do you plan on going? From what you said you don't have a place to go?" the man said as he perched on a chair.
"Anywhere I can," Abigail answered as she added some more stew to more bowls and handed them to the fancy dressed maids to get to the patrons who were inhabiting the tavern for the night.
"Sounds like you are running away from something?" the cook said as she placed some more bread in the oven to bake; "Molly, cut some more meat for that new pot dear, we are open for another six hours. Danielle you get those veggies cleaned and ready. This little lady is doing a great job of keeping the money coming."

Abigail smiled softly as she emptied the pot and handed it to the cooks son, who would wash it out and they put the new cauldron on to cook.
The "Hunter" entered the establishment, he had found someone who had passed by the lady on her way here and told him in which direction she had headed with the old plug she had gotten from a friend from her hometown.
He had already dispatched his pigeon to let Prince Dominic know of his whereabouts. Now he was going to make sure she didn't escape a second time.
Dominic read the note, and called for his carriage to be readied. He strode out into the night despite his mother's protests to wait until morning.
"Mother, if I wait she could move on. I will not wait. She will be my bride. Have arrangements made for two days hence." he said, as he climbed upon his own personal horse and galloped off.
His mother stood there with hands on her hips; "Two days, that doesn't leave much time." she muttered, as she went inside and began organizing the wedding to come.
